And the fun continues.....

First and foremost, please let me say that I am soooo happy that I got the chance to spend some time this past weekend with some of the most wonderful people I have ever known. It felt amazing to have the people I grew up with all in the same room. And I think I speak for most, if not all when I say there was a genuine excitement and sense of love in the air! As corny as that may sound, I know it was that way for me, seeing everyone again after such a long time. That said, last night at the Taste, I was lucky enought to run into a few of our classmates and have posted some pictures here to let you all in on the fun! Hope you enjoy them!

Childhood friends...........better than chocolate !

Another gathering ! Come one come all, 5:30 at Sue Myers house, we'll grab a bite to eat and visit awhile.  Some of your dear friends are still in town with family but preparing to leave all too soon.
Rumor has it that a lovely gathering of friends took place on Main St. in Waterville last night.  That's all I'll share because I am hoping a special someone will share her pictures and a story with us.  ; )  Kathy ???

I'm in!!!

I have officially figured out how to get on the WTVL class of 1980 blog! Now I can come on here, post things that tick me off, share exciting trips, make fun of useless politicians, and post the winning lotto numbers each week :) Kudos to Anna, she amazes me every day !

The love fest continues

I have been inspired by all the activity on facebook, old friends searching each other out, adding each other to their friends lists, making tentative plans to see one another.  Well done folks !  The consensus in the messages seems to be that we should gather again in another five years.  That is a brilliant idea, I vote yes, who is with me ?  Please remember not all our classmates are facebook users and I would urge any of you that have the emails or phone numbers of these folks to share this blog site with them.  I will try to post this site on the Waterville High Alumni page as well, lets try to find every last classmate we can !!
It would be great if those of you who have joined together since the reunion would share some pictures of the events.  Tonight is the Taste of Greater Waterville, the prefect opportunity for classmates that live locally to gather and enjoy each others company.  Always remember, just because we live hundreds, maybe thousands of miles from one another does not mean we can't enjoy some time together.  Cheers !

The beginning of something special.

Welcome to our new class site !  I must tell you my experience on Saturday July 31st 2010, place:  the Waterville Country Club, event:  our 30th class reunion.  The most vivid memory of the evening for me was watching people that have not seen close friends for so  long, embracing, eager, almost frantic to catch up on 10-20- sometimes 30 years of news.  I knew from the very beginning of the evening that there was a limited time frame in which to interact, give well wishes, discuss our lives, try to eat and talk at the same time, dance to a few songs, it was an evening peppered with multi tasking.  The theme I heard throughout the night was that we had waited far to long to reconnect with one another.  I am hoping this will help, with one spot in which to refer for class news we will have the opportunity to keep in touch even though we may live thousands of miles apart.
So, here's to all of you, let's have some fun !!!
